let me introduce myself
November 15th, 2007 by Ianhi all. my name is Ian Fergusson and i have written about fantasy hockey for more years than i care to remember. most recently i started my own fantasy hockey blog at www.shallowfrozenwater.blogspot.com and that is how i came into contact with the fine folk at www.hockeyanalysis.com. prior to the publication of that blog i was a fantasy hockey writer (and a little bit of writing about fantasy baseball, soccer (very little actually) and any other opinion that i had) for www.talentedmrroto.com which was such a successful website that it was noticed across the fantasy world and was eventually bought up by ESPN.com.
fantasy sports is becoming big business. fantasy football is through the roof, fantasy baseball although an older game than fantasy football is still finding it’s legs and fantasy basketball and hockey get left behind. HOWEVER, there are those of us in this world that love their puck and refuse to let the game take a backseat to anything. i hope to help people find their way with their own teams as they in turn enjoy the game as much as guys like me.
most of what i do will be in the form of a blog, posted here, but at the same time i want discussion to crop up and if this little idea explodes into bigger ideas then … i’ll let it. one of the main attractions to my blog has been a feature of a reader’s fantasy team, i call it the fantasy team review. essentially i try to break down your team, your league and make as many trade and waiver wire suggestions as possible so that you can take some steps with your team toward winning your league. if you want to look into that option then start with an email to me and we can go from there.
if you want to see a little of my past work then go ahead and check out www.shallowfrozenwater.blogspot.com, i plan on continuing to keep the name active but i’ll transition it over to here. if that’s too big a mouthful then just go with ian, i’ll answer to that too.
more as i figure out how all this works.
